Sìsì Cucina, the Italian restaurant by award-winning chef Pedro Siqueira, approached us directly to develop the launch of panini exclusive to its Botafogo location. Served through a new takeaway window with tables on the sidewalk, the offering introduced a more casual side of the restaurant. We created the name SÌSÌ NA JANELA and its visual identity, drawing on the neighborhood’s young, lively atmosphere and its habit of turning the sidewalk into a place to eat, drink and spend time together.
That everyday setting became the subject of my illustrations. I drew sandwiches, wine being poured and a folding chair turned into a makeshift table. These are small scenes that bring the idea of eating and drinking on the sidewalk into the artwork. Drawn with simple, uneven strokes, they give the communication the same relaxed feel as the experience itself.
The orange, cream and black palette connects with the façade, while broad stripes and bold typography give the work a strong presence across posters, menus, window graphics and social content.
